Hiking

Phoebe’s Point - most “bang for your buck,” this is a short hike with amazing views, somewhat of a steeper climb, kid-friendly

Welsh Hills Trail - gorgeous sights of Taliesin, a fairly flat, rolling trail

Weaver Road Trail - check trail alerts (esp Nov-Dec) What a sight! Limestone rocks galore and a pine relict. Park right at the corner and walk along the field to get to the trailhead.

Knobs Road Trail - check trail alerts (esp Nov-Dec)

Spring Green Nature Preserve - Our own desert right here in WI, start in an oak savanna, meander up a steep hill through the woods and come out on a bluff overlooking the entire valley. Worth the time and effort.

Governor Dodge State Park-can’t say enough about this awesome park. Great for swimming (two beaches), hiking, walking, horse back riding, paddle boarding, snow shoeing and cross country skiing.
